Mark grew up on a farm in north central Iowa. He and his wife, Linda, have raised five children over nearly 35 years of marriage. During that time, while managing and owning several businesses, he developed a passion for the game of golf.
In 1996, Mark decided to pursue a career in golf. Mark spent 8 years at Miracle Hill Golf Course in Omaha, Nebraska, taking on the role of head golf professional after only two years as an assistant. It did not take long for Mark to find that teaching the game was the most rewarding aspect of the golf profession.

Mark has been to Port St. Lucie, Florida to the PGA Learning Center to attend several Teaching and Coaching Summits. He is very excited to apply the knowledge he has gained from these top professionals to help you improve your game.

Teaching Philosophy
I believe that every student is unique and so must be his/her golf instruction. I tailor each lesson to the individual or group that I am working with. I believe that I must be constantly learning if I am to teach well. I am in constant pursuit of knowledge about teaching the game of golf. I believe that communication is a major key to improvement. Trying to understand is the student's responsibility. Understanding the student is MY responsibility!

To provide a comfortable and enjoyable golf learning experience. I feel it is important to build a strong foundation (grip, set up and posture) by teaching good fundamentals. It is easier for the student to improve and develop a good swing when they have a good foundation to build on.
